Civil Service Director Byron P. Decoteau, Jr.

2017 State Civil Service Commission Election Results

Congratulations to Curtis "Pete" Fremin on his reelection to a second term as the employee representative on the Louisiana State Civil Service Commission. Mr. Fremin is currently the Director of Probation and Parole at the Department of Corrections, and has served as the employee representative on the SCSC since May 2011.

I would like to thank all of the state employees who participated in the election for the employee representative on the SCSC. The SCSC serves a vital role in the administration of the State’s merit system as outlined in Article X of the State Constitution. Most importantly, the SCSC provides mechanisms for delivering progressive and effective human resources programs that will allow State agencies to fulfill their missions to the citizens of Louisiana. Any questions regarding the election or the results may be directed to the Election.Coordinator@la.gov
