Performance Evaluation System

Louisiana’s Performance Evaluation System provides a mechanism for supervisors and managers to evaluate the talent, skills and abilities of staff. It also provides an opportunity for the employee and manager to have a one-on-one discussion of expected job performance, where the employee stands and what it takes to get to the next step. This system encourages continuous coaching and communication throughout the performance year. Moreover, it gives the employee an opportunity to recognize how his individual performance contributes to the agency mission.

In the current performance year, the evaluation sessions for FY 2013-14 should have been completed, and the employee planning sessions for FY 14-15 should be wrapped up by Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014.
